Work rightsauthorisation required as of 2026-07-01[1][4]
'If you want to work in the Czech Republic with a visa for family purposes, you need to acquire a work permit.' Act No. 435/2004 Coll. s. 98(l) frees family members of long-term PERMIT holders, not of visa holders, so the exemption does not reach this instrument and a Labour Office work permit is required. This is the instrument the Digital Nomad Programme routes nomads' spouses onto.

Permanent residence and citizenship

Permanent residence and citizenship
Counts toward permanent residenceYes as of 2026-06-12[3]
s. 68(2)(a) counts time on a long-term visa; this visa is not on the s. 68(3) exclusion list.

Requirements
Who can sponsortemporary permit holder, permanent resident as of 2026-06-22[1]
Eligible relationsspouse, registered partner, minor child, parent, other dependent as of 2026-06-22[1]
The route page's own indicative list of what an 'elementary family' may consist of: 'Spouses, or same-sex partners (formerly known as registered partnership); Parents and minor children; Dependent relatives.' It is expressly indicative rather than closed – 'Other family members can also acquire a visa for family purposes, however, it always depends on the Ministry of the Interior's assessment of the case' – so this is a floor, not a boundary, and it is the only place in the Czech record where a registered partner is named as an eligible relation.
Sponsor income requirementRecorded at the source, but not reducible to a single value
Sponsor accommodation requirementYes as of 2026-06-12[3]
s. 31(1)(d) requires proof of accommodation for the duration of the stay for any long-term visa.

Physical presence

Physical presence
none statedto keep the permit as of 2026-06-22[1][3]
Neither the governing provision nor the route page states a day count, a maximum absence or a reporting obligation for keeping this permit. What the Information Portal states instead is qualitative: 'You must fulfil the purpose of your stay for the whole duration of your residence permit.' s. 155b applies to long-term residence permits, not to visas.

Family inclusion

Family inclusion
Family members may be includedNo as of 2026-06-12[3]
s. 42a(7)(a) issues the family-reunification permit only where the sponsor holds a long-term or permanent residence permit. A long-term visa is neither, so the family cannot be brought on this instrument; the path runs through conversion to the corresponding long-term residence permit and then the s. 42a(7)(a) qualifying period. The holder is already the dependant on this instrument.
Eligible relationsNot established from a qualifying source as of 2026-06-12[3]
Family may apply at the same timeNo as of 2026-06-12[3]
Follows from allowed = false.
Family members' work rightsNot applicable
No dependants can be admitted on this instrument.
