The route page: 'If you reside in the Czech Republic with a long-term residence permit for cultural purposes, you cannot be employed here, except for clergymen.' Act No. 435/2004 Coll. s. 98(r) is the provision behind the exception – a clergyman of a church or religious society registered in Czechia needs no work permit. The cultural activity itself (film crews, performing arts, cultural projects) is what the permit authorises; what it does not authorise is employment. The vocabulary has no value for 'the purpose activity only, and that activity is not employment', so 'none' is recorded with the exception stated here.

Permanent residence and citizenship

Permanent residence and citizenship
Counts toward permanent residenceYes as of 2026-06-12[3]
s. 68(2)(a) counts time on a long-term residence permit; this permit is not on the s. 68(3) exclusion list.
